2D & 2D+ Decoys
SPE «RUSBAL» produces 2D decoys of both horizontal and vertical configuration.
To make the devices look more true-to-life some of the sets may include flat and 3D-elements, providing realistic shadows and maximum likehood for the kind of objects. Such devices can be referred to 2D+ class.
Devices of horizontal configuration are intended for deceiving aerospace intelligence. Devices of vertical configuration are used to deceive terrestrial reconnaissance, enemy units and operators of destruction means, such as AGTM.
The efficiency of 2D and 2D+ decoys sufficiently increases if they are used in combination with means of concealing, demonstrating the deception means to the enemy only partially and excluding the possibility of getting a view at different angles.
Devices of horizontal configuration can be combined with false fortification elements, e.g. a false earth bund, as it is demonstrated in the picture at the top of this page.
2D decoys can be supplied with thermal and radar simulators.
The mass of 2D decoys is from 3 to 15 kg, deployment time 5…10 min
